PROFILE:

Highly motivated and versatile Interaction Designer with a solid background in human and social sciences. Able to collect and analyse problems from different perspectives and with strong critical sense. Prefers working as part of a team and can relate to the different professionals involved in a design process. His humanistic sensibility and user-centred awareness, is sustained by excellent design skills. Passionate about people and technology, he is always ready to accept new challenges and learn new tasks/skills.

EDUCATION:

  • Magisterexamen i Interaktionsdesign/ Degree of Master in Interaction Design, Malmö University, Malmö (Sweden), Sept 2006 – June 2007
    Pietro graduated at K3 School of Arts and Communication in Malmö (Sweden). He defended his thesis for the M.A. in Interaction Design and presented his working prototype at BusinesstoButtons conference.
  • Master’s Degree in Advanced Technologies of Interactive Communication, University of Tor Vergata, Roma (Italy), Sept 2005 – Dec 2006
    A one year master’s course (TACI) where he learnt the basis and the approaches to the interaction design. For his thesis, he worked on the role of the museums in the contemporary society and on mobile phone interfaces.
  • Professional Course in Web Design, Anja Accademy, Roma (Italy), Sept 2003 – June 2004
  • BA cum laude in Media Studies, University LaSapienza, Roma (Italy), Nov 2001 – May 2005
    During these three years he acquired a surprising sensibility for people and for social relationships that has resulted crucial in the way he approaches problems. His Thesis analyses the contemand Apple products.

DESIGN APPROACH:

As graduate interaction designer, he is quite aware of the different methods and processes of research and design and considers technology as something people should enjoy and use with ease. Thanks to the recent experience in Sweden he is familiar with mobile technologies and related issues. He cares of sharing his perspective and promoting the exchange of ideas in his team.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • MOBISLE, Feb 2010 – Present
    Co-founded his current company that designs and develops iPhone and iPad products. He is currently working as interaction designer for mobile platform and having the most amazing experience of his life.
  • Venere NET, June 2008 – Feb 2010
    He joined the usability team as Junior Interaction Designer whose role is to connect different stakeholders and professionals involved in each projects. He is then called to design and prototype usable interactions within an agile framework.
  • Telecom Italia Media – La7, Jan– June 2008
    as Web Producer Junior he joined the La7.it team to design and update the website of the third national broadcasting channel, La7. He collaborated to the interaction design and has been called to offer an overview of new web scenarios and technologies.
  • Estrogeni, Oct 2007 – Jan 2008
    as Web Designer he has been involved in the creative process of marketing campaigns and into their effective realization. He has also been working on websites and viral marketing been called to offer an overview of new web scenarios and technologies .
  • Gruppo L’Espresso, June – Sept 2005
    Three months internship as editor in TV Magazine. He is been writing all sort of TV articles in a teamwork environment dealing with very strict deadlines. During the final period of the internship, he has been responsible for the TV show and movie reviews where his writing skills and critical sense have been really appreciated.
  • Dreamyourmind Srl, Web and Graphic Designer, Oct 2004 – Dec 2005
    as Web and Graphic Designer he has been responsible for several websites and for translating customers’ needs into usable and satisfying products. He has always been working with a user-centred approach and attention for the standards.

    Three months internship as web designer. He has improved his design skills and learnt new ones when required.
  • Video-making, 2003

    • Made a video documentary with interviews to communicate the discomfort of the students and the structural problems of the university system in Rome.

  • Slash, 2002 – 2004
    Co-Founder, Co-Director, Editor and Graphic Designer of a student magazine distributed in the Faculty of Scienze della Comunicazione (Roma). The magazine was open to students willing to publish their ideas and improve their writing skills.
  • Nellavalle.it, 2002 – 2003
    Co-founded and participated to one of the first online portals in Benevento. It aimed at promoting the Valle Telesina and its culture by supporting events, reviewing places and underlining social and political problems.
  • Valletelesina.com, 2001 – 2003
    Co-founded and administrated a web and chat community oriented to promote activities and communication for the young people living in the area of Valle Telesina (Benevento)
